Wednesday Inspiration 5.21.14

When I saw this I knew it was great. I’m currently wearing no make-up at work, hair in a messy bun, but I genuinely don’t care. I recall at 17 being the kind of girl with bad skin who NEVER wanted to take off her makeup at a sleepover. But now–I’ve outgrown it. I genuinely don’t care. And that is a beautiful thing because I know the physical is not my most important attribute. I think so often it is easy to fall into the traps of what you believe being attractive is or in America what the standard of beauty is, but this is a true model according to God’s word of what a real “make-over” looks like. No plastic surgery needed. Just His scalpel:

Hebrews 4:12-13 MSG “God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.”
