Hebrews 10:22-25 (MSG)
22-25 So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.
I think being strong and confident is always a good way to start off a week. It’s Monday. It’s a new day. It’s a new week. We have the choice whether we want to start the week begrudgingly or with gusto. This verse reminds me that I can do “it”. The “it” can be getting out of bed, or doing a presentation, or going to work, or really anything and we can do those things full of belief. We don’t need validation from anyone but God and He is the only one that can assure us that we’re “presentable inside and out”. We can rest in His affection for us. We can hold on to His promises. It is because we know who we are in Him that we can be creative in how we can encourage and help others.
What can you do today to start your week off right?
